Let me know: what horror story or horror writer do you think deserves some new illustrations?

I put 'new' in quotations due to the fact that these illustrations have been available in the Second Edition of "Edgar Allan Poe's Premium Horror and Weird Fiction," but they are new here. My previous illustrations were part of my first attempts to work in negative sketching and don't meet up with my current standards. Over the next week I'll be uploading the new series from the second edition, some of which are just fresher versions of the original, and some are complete re-vampings of the concept. In any case, I hope you all really enjoy them!

I've been away from DA for much of the past year due to a move to a new city, job search, new job, marriage, and -- finally -- holiday stuff. But now I'm trying to update my illustrations. There's a lot to do: Dracula, Charles Dickens, H. G. Wells, and I'm working on W. W. Jacobs, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and eventually Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. If you like any of my illustrations and would like the notes that go with it, my books are all on amazon (.com, .co.uk, and .eu), and I appreciate all of my customers very much, so if you have any questions or would like to pick my brain on classic horror stories, novels, or folklore, I'm at your servic

Thanks so much for watching!

Love your art. I love how macabre it is especially considering I love Edgar Allan Poe

Recognized your drawings from Oldstyle Tales right away! Rad to run into them on here as well. Great site and the illustrations add a lot to it.

Found your gallery by some of the Hodgson work you've done, criminally underrated.

Hey, this will probably sound wierd..but I  try to help other artist, who might feel sad and have a bad day. Since I don't really know who could be sad I just select a random person.
So idk if you need seeing this (or if it helps) but I wish you a wonderful day and keep doing what you are proud of! :)
I have to ask: how do you do your artwork?

Thanks for asking! I draw the positive spaces on a white sheet of paper with a pencil, so that it looks like a negative; then I scan it and invert the colors (white to black; black to white) and increase the contrast with pixlr editor
